Assembly

Place a pink tray inside the green sieve.

Place the green sieve (male pin) onto the yellow drawer support (female slot).

Attach the blue handle to the pink tray, assembling the drawer.

Place the drawer into the yellow support.

Fit the orange ring onto the top of the green sieve.

Filling

  1. Add plant-based clumping litter until it reaches approximately three fingers in height. Cattus recommends using Yellow, the best option for your cats’ well-being and for you.

  2. If you are switching brands and notice any resistance from your cats, sprinkle a small amount of the old litter over the new one. This helps them adjust faster, and they will soon start using the Hygie Box Multi Fit.

  3. Attention: The HB Multi Fit will function correctly with mineral litters only if they are mixed with good-quality biodegradable litters or with BioBloc, Cattus’ additive for mineral litters.

Initial Setup

  1. Fill the Hygie Box Multi Fit and place it next to the tray your cats are currently using.

  2.  Place a small amount of soiled material from the old tray on top of the clean litter in the HB Multi Fit. This way, the cats will recognize the new litter box and start using it soon.

  3. If you notice any resistance from the cats to the change, place the tray they are used to inside the HB Multi Fit sieve for 2 to 3 days.

  4. Remove the old tray as soon as the cats adopt the Hygie Box Multi Fit as their new litter box.

Maintenance

  1. At least once a day, pour the contents of the tray onto the sieve and discard the waste retained on the mesh.

  2. Dispose of the waste directly into the toilet never into organic or regular trash. After placing it in the toilet, wait a few minutes for the clumps to soften, then flush.

  3. Return the sifted, clean litter from the drawer to the pink tray inside the green sieve.

  4. For daily care, wash the parts using water only. Weekly, or when necessary, use a mild/neutral product for more thorough cleaning. The Hygie Box tray mold undergoes a special polishing process, ensuring that waste does not stick to the surface.

  5. Refill the litter whenever necessary, making sure the depth is sufficient to form clumps. Urine should be absorbed without reaching the bottom of the tray.

  6. Regularly perform a deeper litter cleaning using the Cattus Scoop. Since its holes are smaller than the sieve mesh, the litter becomes much cleaner, odor-free, and lasts significantly longer.
Although it is desirable, not all biodegradable litters form clumps that break down when placed in water, so be sure to check the manufacturer’s instructions before disposing of clumps in the toilet. Cattus has a genuine concern for environmental issues, which is why Yellow litters form clumps that can and should be disposed of in the toilet. Attention: Do not dispose of clumps formed from a mixture of mineral litters with biodegradable litters or with BioBloc, Cattus’ additive for mineral litters.
